Today, John James Audubon is the most famous and well known bird and animal artist in the United States. His works are easily recognizable, and are the most widely collected and most often copied natural history fine art paintings and prints. In this book noted Audubon expert, Ron Flynn, has researched and compiled this important Audubon reference resource for both novice and advanced Audubon Collectors. Mr. Flynn provides current market values for all collectible antique and modern Audubon prints. 

Individual chapters describe in detail each of the original five antique Audubon print publications. Each of these chapters includes extensive Price Guide tables with market values for every print issued in the Havell, Imperial Folio, Bien, Octavo Birds and Octavo Quads Editions. In addition, there are numerous collectible modern Audubon print editions available today to the Audubon print collector. Each of those editions is completely reviewed in detail, along with personal recommendations. Most of these modern editions have not yet sold out their original printings. However, the Amsterdam, Abbeville, Loates and Leipzig Editions have sold out and are only available now in secondary markets. This book contains individual chapters with detailed information about each of these four editions, along with Price Guide tables showing market values for every print in those publications. Mr. Flynn has included in his Price Guide tables eBay realized auction price values for all antique and modern Audubon prints that are commonly sold on that Internet auction site. 

This book includes chapters that will help the collector identify and authenticate prints from all of the original antique Audubon editions, as well as all the collectible modern Audubon editions. There are separate chapters with advice and recommendations for buying and selling Audubon prints, plus special chapters about buying and selling Audubon prints on eBay. The author includes a chapter in which he lists his Recommended Audubon Print Dealers, with names, addresses, phone numbers and URLs for each. Final chapters cover proper storage and care of Audubon prints, with a list of resource suppliers, and a chapter on Audubon print conservation and restoration, with a list of antique print conservators. There are three charts at the end of this book which list and rank upper tier Audubon images in the following editions: quadrupeds, octavo birds and double elephant folio (Havell, Amsterdam and Abbeville Editions).
