Images of Audubon is a handy convenient reference resource for today’s PC world. It was developed for students, collectors and researchers of John James Audubon’s 1st Octavo Editions of Birds of America (1840-44) and Quadrupeds of North America (1849-54).

Over the past 50+ years a number of reference books, containing some or all of the images on this CD, have been published. However, ALL are currently OUT OF PRINT. This CD is a reasonably priced supplement or alternative to those books. 

WHAT YOU GET

This CD contains images of all 500 1st Octavo Edition Birds of America prints, plus Audubon's original text for each bird. You also get images of all 155 1st Octavo Edition  Quadrupeds of North America prints, plus the original J.J. Audubon and Rev. John Bachman text for each animal. Each fast loading JPEG/JPG image appears on a separate page, with original text below. There are also printable lists and alphabetical indexes for all bird and quad prints, with their plate numbers.

SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS -  

You will need a PC with a CD ROM drive and an Internet browser program (Internet Explorer, Netscape, etc.) are all that is required to view everything on this CD-ROM. It's like a complete website on one CD-ROM. Depending on your computer's system, you may have to be online for this CD-ROM to operate. A printer would enable you to print all images, pages and lists.
